ANDRÉ SCRIMA FELLOWSHIPS

 

„ANDRÉ SCRIMA” FELLOWSHIPS PROGRAM IS FOR THE MOMENT SUSPENDED, IN THE EVENT THAT THE PROGRAM WILL BE RESUMED, WE WILL ANNOUNCE. 

 

The Institute for Ecumenical Research awards each year fellowships for the summer semester to doctoral, postdoctoral and junior researchers in any field of humanities and social sciences, with preference given to researchers in the fields of theology, history, philosophy and religious studies. The fellowship is addressed especially to young Romanian researchers.

Fellows taking up research stays are expected to contribute to the journal Review of Ecumenical Studies with an article. Due to the pandemic, permanent residence in Sibiu is not mandatory. They will also hold a talk on a theme of their own choice and are expected to take active part in some activities of the Institute.

Application terms

Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of 1500 Ron. The fellowship may be granted for a maximum duration of five months (March – July). Permanent residency is not compulsory, but welcome.

Candidate’s application will include:

  1. Research Proposal with a prospective timeline of the research project (maximum 1500 words)
  2. Cover Letter
  3. CV 
  4. Copy of the most recent degree
  5. Two academic reference letters. Reference letters should be sent directly to cces@ecum.ro


Candidates should specify the duration and the dates of their desired stay. Applications should be completed in English or German and sent into a single PDF document to cces@ecum.ro by April 1, each year.
