În cadrul Departamentului de Istorie, Patrimoniu şi Teologie Protestantă, Universitatea „Lucian Blaga“ din Sibiu, se organizează în fiecare an un curs intensiv de limbă germană. Obiectivul fundamental al acestui program constă în asigurarea dezvoltării abilităţilor de comunicare la nivelul unei competențe și a unei performanțe lexicale avansate în limba germană (B1/B2) şi dobândirea certificatului de limbă germană B1-Zertifikat, eliberat de Institutul Goethe.
Cursul de germană se bazează pe competența de limbă germană maternă, prezentă în Transilvania fără întrerupere din Evul Mediu. Sibiu/Hermannstadt este centrul geografic al regiunii bisericilor fortificate și prin aceasta totodată al culturii saxone din România. Universitatea „Lucian Blaga” din Sibiu este alma mater atât pentru studiul filologic (germanisticii) cât și al teologiei (deopotrivă protestantă și ortodoxă). Pe lângă învățarea limbii germane, face parte integrantă din programă introducerea în cultura locală. Deoarece cultura saxonă din Transilvania este intens conectată de Biserică, cursul are loc ca și cum ar fi ”în curtea Bisericii”.
Cursul combinat – postuniversitar și bisericesc – se adresează aplicanților globali, apropiați de Biserica lor, dar și celor din România. Are o durată de 9 luni și începe odată cu fiecare an universitar. Constă din 4 ore de curs și studiu pe zi, 5 zile pe săptămână (în total 700 ore până la nivelul B1+) și are ca bază, după o fază de început în limba engleză/română, predarea în limba germană. Cursul este deschis pentru aparținătorii tuturor confesiunilor, îndeosebi pentru teologi dar și pentru absolvenți ai studiilor din spectrul umanist și social. Echipa de cadre didactice, sub conducerea doamnei conf. dr. Dana Dogaru, este alcătuită din cadre universitare titulare ale Facultății de Litere și Arte. Cursul poate fi încheiat cu examen de limbă nivel B 1 susținut la Institutul Goethe. Pot fi acordate burse care acoperă toate costurile (de viză, călătorie, înscriere, cazare, masă). Prin buna colaborare cu ”Brot für die Welt” și ”Gustav Adolf Werk”, cursul este o șansă de obținere în contiunare a unei burse de studii în Germania.
Datorită situației pandemice, cursul se desfășoară actualmente online.

German Language Intensive Course
At the Department of Protestant Theology of the University “Lucian Blaga”, Sibiu a German intensive course is offered annually. The course concludes with the B1 exam at the Goethe Institute in Bucharest.
The German course builds on the mother tongue German competence that has been at home in Transylvania unbroken since the Middle Ages. Sibiu/Hermannstadt is the geographical center of the fortified church landscape and thus of German-speaking culture in Romania. Lucian Blaga University is the academic home of both German studies and theology (Protestant and Orthodox). Besides learning German, the programe also includes an introduction to the local culture. Because the Saxon (German) culture of Transylvania is strongly tied to the Church, the course is like „in the churchyard”. Therefore we are also targeting church-affiliated people from all over the world . It lasts 9 months and starts with the respective academic year. It includes a stint of 4 hours of lectures and exercises 5 days a week (a total of 700 hours up to B1+) and has in the beginning English as the language of instruction. The course is aimed at members of all denominations and ist targeting theologiens but also humanistic as well as social professions.
A team of Germanists teaches under the guidance of Dr. Dana Dogaru. The course ends with a university examination. The B1 exam can be taken at the Goethe-Institut. Scholarships covering all costs (visa, travel, enrolment, accommodation and meals) are available. Due to the good networking with „Brot für die Welt” and „Gustav-Adolf-Werk”, the course is often seen as a chance to continue studying in Germany with a subsequent scholarship.

Intensiv Deutschkurs
Der Deutschkurs baut auf die muttersprachliche Deutschkompetenz auf, die in Siebenbürgen seit dem Mittelalter ungebrochen zu Hause ist. Sibiu/Hermannstadt ist das geographische Zentrum der Kirchenburgenlandschaft und somit der deutschprachigen Kultur in Rumänien. Die Lucian Blaga Universität ist akademische Heimstätte sowohl für das Studium der Germanistik als auch für das der Theologie (Protestantisch und Orthodox). Neben dem Deutsch-Lernen steht auch die Einführung in die lokale Kultur auf dem Programm. Da die lokale, deutschsprachige Kultur, sehr kirchenverbunden ist, findet der Kurs sozusagen „im Kirchhof” statt. Er wendet sich deswegen an kirchennahe Personen der ganzen Welt. Er dauert 9 Monate und beginnt mit dem jeweiligen akademischen Studienjahr. Er umfasst ein Pensium von 4 Stunden Vorlesungen und Übungen 5 Tage die Woche (insgesamt 700 Stunden bis B1+) und hat als anfängliche Unterrichtssprache das Englische. Der gemischte Kurs – universitär und kirchlich – wendet sich an Angehörige aller Konfessionen, besonders an TheologInnen aber auch an AbsolventInnen humanistischer sowie sozialer Studien.
Es unterrichtet ein Team von Germanisten unter der Anleitung von Dr. Dana Dogaru. Der Kurs kann mit der B1 Prüfung des Goethe-Instituts abgelegt werden. Stipendien, die alle Kosten decken (Visa, Reisen, Immatrikulation, Wohnen und Verpflegung) sind möglich. Durch die gute Vernetzung mit „Brot für die Welt” und „Gustav-Adolf-Werk” wird der Kurs oft als eine Chance gesehen, mit einem anschließenden Stipendium in Deutschland weiter zu studieren.
