Victor-Lucian Georgescu has a PhD in theology from the University of Bucharest with research on the theological function of Moses’ discourse in Deuteronomy 4:1-40 within the historiography from Genesis to Kings. His main research interests revolve around the relationship between the narrative blocks that compose the Primary History (Gen – 2Kgs) and especially the central position that Deuteronomy has in this context. He is currently engaged in a postdoctoral studies program at the University of Bucharest, in partnership with biblical scholars from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome. He also takes part in the Hebrew Bible translation project into Romanian hosted by the New Europe College – Institute for Advanced Study in Bucharest.
